Eindhoven-based Luna.ai, a startup that claims to be a pioneer in the sales AI sector, has announced that it secured $2.5M (approximately €2.34M) in a pre-seed round of funding.
The oversubscribed investment was led by Amsterdam-based CapitalT, a seed-stage venture capital fund investing in tech companies.
Other investors in this round include AI investor Curiosity, Notion Capital’s angel fund, a former Salesforce EVP, and the former CMO of Zoom.
Steven Nelemans, CEO of Luna.ai says, “What sets this round apart is the vast experience these investors bring. Our investors have learned the ropes, led large sales teams and used competitive products. The conviction they bring to this round gives us even more confidence in our vision.”
A transformation for sales teams
Founded in 2022, Luna.ai leads the AI sales technology sector with its comprehensive B2B platform. Using AI, the platform identifies ideal leads, gathers relevant information online, and crafts effective sales emails.
Trained on the experience of various sales professionals, the platform functions as an AI Sales Development Representative (SDR), streamlining the sales process and enabling scalability.
Luna.ai claims it can integrate within organisations to provide value even before user interaction and its onboarding process takes six minutes. The company continually learns from feedback and responses, becoming smarter with each email sent.
Capital utilisation
Luna.ai plans to use funds to expand its team, develop enterprise-grade products, and revolutionise the traditional sales funnel using AI.
A key step, according to the startup was the recently launched Command Center, in which sales leaders can “easily” manage and scale their team of human and AI salespeople.
Eva de Mol, partner at CapitalT says, “Luna.ai is not about developing yet another sales tool. Luna.ai is on a mission to change the way we do sales, and we look forward to doing so to embark on an adventure with them.”
