Co-investors in the round were Plug and Play Tech Center, UniCredit, Fondazione di Modena, a group of angel investors, and Maxi Mobility’s founders.

“We believe electric mobility only becomes truly accessible when it is designed around the real needs of those who use it daily. This investment empowers us to bring our vision to the industrial level,” mentions Maxi Mobility in a LinkedIn post.

Enabling the transition towards sustainable mobility

Founded in 2021, Maxi Mobility has launched a monthly subscription service to support the transition to electric vehicles for taxi and ride-hailing operators.

The plan offers access to electric vehicles without upfront costs, bundled with unlimited charging through a partner network, digital tools for fleet and charging management, and round-the-clock support.

The company aims to remove key obstacles to electric vehicle adoption, including high initial investment, fragmented charging infrastructure, and operational challenges.

Capital utilisation

Maxi Mobility will use the funds to enhance its technology and charging infrastructure. It will grow its electric mobility service in cities like Milan and Rome, where more than 13,000 taxi licenses are active and additional licenses are expected under the Asset 2023 Decree.

The company also joins the Motor Valley Accelerator network, which supports startups in the mobility sector.

Enrico Dente, Director of Motor Valley Accelerator and Plug and Play, says, “The investment in Maxi Mobility fits perfectly with our mission to promote concrete and scalable solutions for sustainable mobility.”

“Maxi is addressing a crucial challenge with an innovative and pragmatic approach, making the electric transition truly accessible and simple for taxi drivers and urban fleets. As Motor Valley Accelerator, we are thrilled to support them in this phase of growth and industrialisation.”

Gian Paolo Incutti, CEO and founder of Maxi Mobility, adds, “The arrival of a partner like Motor Valley Accelerator represents a strategic validation of the work we’ve done and gives us the impetus to bring our vision to an industrial scale. Electric mobility can become truly accessible if built around the concrete needs of those who experience it every day.”
