Last update:

Aachen-based Clinomic, a German company providing acute and intensive care medicine, has closed a €23M Series B funding round. The round was co-led by DeepTech & Climate Fonds (DTCF) and a private family office.

The company plans to use the funds to expand internationally, improve its AI and data capabilities, and increase its focus on critical care delivery.

Reinventing the hospital

Clinomic, founded in 2019 by intensive care physicians from RWTH Aachen University Hospital, has created Mona, an AI-based platform for intensive care units.

The platform gathers, processes, and presents patient and operational data in real-time to assist ICU teams in their daily work.

With a focus on medical digitalisation and telemedicine, Clinomic operates with a team of over 70 professionals, including engineers, developers, data scientists, and physicians.

The company aims to support patients and healthcare providers through its technology in acute and intensive care settings.

Georg Griesemann, CEO, Clinomic, says, “It is a great honor to have such strong partners on board who share our vision of transforming critical care. Their support enables us to accelerate our business even faster.”

“As we look to the future, we remain committed to tackling the most pressing challenges in intensive care – from staff shortages and information overload to digitisation gaps. Mona lays the foundation for modern, data-driven intensive care, empowering clinicians and improving lives.”

Brief about Mona

The internet, AI, and smartphones have reshaped how people access knowledge, communicate, and manage their daily activities through a single device. Similarly, in the field of intensive care medicine, Mona serves as a digital platform that brings together multiple functions into one system.

Mona supports clinical teams by collecting, organising, analysing, and displaying patient and operational data. It offers tools to assist with routine tasks and clinical decisions.

By presenting structured and consistent information, the platform enables healthcare professionals to make informed decisions and manage workflows. Mona also functions as a central hub for information within the clinic.

Following a detailed review of available options, Sana Kliniken AG, which manages 53 hospitals across different levels of care, selected Clinomic’s Mona platform for integration into its healthcare operations.
