Amsterdam-based Meetingselect, a meeting management platform that helps book small to complex meetings worldwide, announced on Monday that it is celebrating its 15th anniversary by launching a new website, a new brand, and the launch of a new Meetings for Trees Foundation.

The company says in a statement that “Meetingselect renewed its brand, introduced a new website and like to get you onboard to plant trees with Meetings for Trees.”

“Connect your venue to empower growth”

Meetingselect is a female-founded company. In 2007, Anouk Roohe and Judith Huisman, the company’s founders, were working in the hospitality business for worldwide hotel chains and conference venues. However, after several years in the business, they saw the need for a more efficient method for scheduling and managing meetings. They continued to work with venture capital to realise their aim of providing  ‘perfect’ digital solutions to all stakeholders.

Thus Meetingselect was founded. It is a cloud-based strategic meeting management tool that converts the conventional method of arranging meetings and groups by phone and email into an online experience.

According to the firm, it provides simplified solutions in meeting automation that enable bookers and venues to have access to data, save money, and gain insights. Meetingselect also claims that it makes the booking process more transparent, sustainable, and efficient by using its features and technology.

Currently, the Amsterdam company has more than 500,000 locations in 150+ countries, from hotels and conference centres to event spaces and workspaces.

“We are not done yet though – we remain confident that we revolutionise meetings management globally with our all-in-one meetings marketplace. We continuously develop initiatives with customers and partners that contribute to a better and greener world,” says the company.

The company has been selected for both the prestigious Dutch Techleap RISE Accelerator Programme and the Berkeley SkyDeck, USA.

Meetings for Trees Foundation

Meetingselect also announced that the company has launched the Meetings for Trees initiative in collaboration with the non-profit organisation Hotels for Trees. The initiative provides a concrete contribution to a greener world of meetings and events.

Chief Tree Planting Officer, Floris Licht, says, “We are extremely enthusiastic about the support of our Founding Partner Meetingselect in launching the Meetings for Trees initiative. Our Hotels for Trees foundation already has 100 partners in over 10 countries and we are certain that through Meetingselects’s extensive network, professionalism, experience and drive we will quickly be able to achieve even more in the meeting & events industry. We very much look forward to working with them in the years to come and together achieve our goal of planting at least 1 million trees per year as of 2025.”

Meeting and event planners may (indirectly) compensate for the effect of their meetings and events using Meetings for Trees. The impact of this environmentally conscious decision may be seen on the Meetings for Trees website and it directly contributes to (re)forestation initiatives all around the world.

The company plans to expand its influence by planting trees all over the world, as donations are tax-deductible in many countries.
