Amsterfoot, the Netherlands-based MEJOR Technologies, a startup developing early detection and monitoring systems for wildfire, announced on Monday, October 23, that it has secured new funding in the pre-seed round from Graduate Entrepreneur Fund.
The funding comes as the developed technology and innovative solutions not only tackle a critical environmental challenge but also hold the potential to revolutionise the wildfire detection industry, marking an enticing investment opportunity.
“From a market and pipeline perspective, the wildfire detection market faces a global urgency, demanding more efficient solutions. The company boasts an impressive pipeline of projects and ongoing developments, positioning for success in this critical area,” says Graduate Entrepreneur Fund in a LinkedIn post.
MEJOR Technologies: Reshaping wildfire prevention
Wildfires wreak havoc, causing ecological devastation, enormous monetary losses, and significant CO2 emissions. Current detection methods are slow and ineffective with massive costs and environmental limitations.
Founded by Melvin Sieben and Joris Kohl van Wijngaarden, MEJOR Technologies is developing cutting-edge sensing and data collections solutions to protect nature, people and their properties.
MEJOR Technologies does this through “Fire Assessment Swarm Technology (FAST)”.Â
FAST combines advanced hardware, sensors, and AI algorithms to provide early detection and monitoring of wildfires.
Blimp-like UAVs autonomously form a protective dome over risk areas, enabling rapid detection within minutes.
It not only detects fires but also generates valuable data for firefighting efforts.
FAST offers an emergency communication network for firefighters on the ground and provides critical information about the fire’s spread.
Graduate Entrepreneur Fund: What you need to know
