Binance, a blockchain ecosystem and digital asset exchange platform that combines digital technology and finance, announced on Thursday that it has kicked off an exclusive, multi-year Non-fungible Tokens (NFT) partnership with Portuguese international football player and five-time Ballon D’or winner Cristiano Ronaldo.
To introduce Ronaldo’s supporters to Web3 and provide them with a gateway into the world of NFTs, Binance will launch a worldwide advertising campaign.
A Non-fungible Token (NFT) is basically a digital asset or cryptographic asset that differs from a fungible token by having a special identifying code and information. They cannot be sold or swapped for comparable value, much like cryptocurrencies.
According to a report by Technavio, the global NFT market size is expected to grow by $147.24B from 2021 to 2026 at a compounded annual growth rate of 35.27 per cent.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Binance will produce a number of collections for sale only on the Binance NFT marketplace. Later this year, the first collection will be made available and it will include designs made with Ronaldo.

The Cristiano Ronaldo NFT collections will be available exclusively on Binance NFT. Registered Binance users in select countries will also be able to purchase the collections using Binance Pay.
Binance says it is taking the experience of being a sports fan to new heights with this partnership. Additionally, it will strengthen current alliances with the Brazilian Football Confederation, S.S. Lazio (IT), FC Porto, and the Argentine Football Association (PT).
