Oslo-based Inspera, a provider of digital examination solutions, announced the acquisition of Crossplag, a tool that specialises in plagiarism detection and AI content detection.

Inspera’s cloud-based assessment ecosystem offers a comprehensive suite of capabilities from planning and design to delivery and grading across various formats.

These assessments encompass formative, summative, and diagnostic exams, coursework, tests, quizzes, term papers, and more.

By integrating Crossplag’s expertise and technology, the Norwegian company aims to empower educators and institutions to conduct authentic assessments.

With the full incorporation of Crossplag into the company’s digital assessment and remote proctoring ecosystem, clients can expect tighter integration of originality checking and AI writing detection capabilities, says Inspera.

Notably, Crossplag is the first and only plagiarism detection tool to operate across a wide array of languages, including translations. The feature ensures student submissions can be examined for cross-language matching and originality.
