The Hague-based PostNL, a postal and package service, announced that it has launched the NL Crypto Stamp Safe Dragon. This latest offering in the popular crypto stamp series comes in two variants—Magic Book and Treasure—developed in collaboration with Österreichische Post.
The stamp utilises blockchain technology, allowing customers to engage with their mail in an entirely new way.
Designed for registered mail weighing up to 20 grams within the Netherlands, the stamp bears the “R” value marking, emphasising its utility for secure correspondence.
Limited edition
PostNL says that each NL Crypto Stamp Safe Dragon includes a unique magic symbol featured behind a safe door.Â
Customers will find either a magic book or treasure represented, which can be combined with the NFT from the 2024 NL Crypto Stamp Dragon.
This process, known as morphing, transforms the original digital asset into a new NFT, complete with its baby dragon, allowing for a total of 40 possible combinations.
The NL crypto stamp safe dragon is a joint issue of PostNL and Österreichische Post.
The Austrian Post already issued its crypto stamp with the same design on February 25, 2025, under the name Crypto Stamp Safe Dragon.
The two Dutch variants Magic Book and Treasure each have a limited edition of 1,500.
The design is by Lisa Filzi (Frau Filzi Kreativstudio), who was previously responsible for the NL crypto stamp safe (2023) and the NL crypto stamp dragon (2024).
This new issue brings together the visual language of previous designs: the 2023 safe is now a bank vault, and the 2024 dragon surrounds it like a mythical guardian.
The colors consist of various shades of yellow and ochre, giving the stamp a unique look.
The NL Crypto Stamp Safe Dragon will be available for purchase at €11.30 exclusively at NLcryptostamp.nl, starting at 10:00 AM on March 25, 2025, until stocks last.Â
