A next-gen warehouse management system
Founded in 2023, pyck is developing a new category of warehouse infrastructure software. The company provides an open-source toolkit that enables logistics teams to build modular, AI-compatible warehousing systems.
The toolkit supports warehouse operators in creating and scaling solutions that allow control over operations, data, and costs. It is designed to address issues found in existing warehouse software systems that limit change and progress.
pyck was founded by Dr.-Ing. Daniel Jarr, Maximilian Mack, and Matthias Nagel. Jarr was Head of Innovation at Dematic, Mack founded Dozeo, and Nagel founded Bitfactory. The team’s goal is to support logistics teams in moving away from existing software stacks that restrict system updates and scalability.
One year after its commercial launch, pyck is working with three logistics enterprises. The company is also launching a data manager tool. This tool allows warehouse teams to define and manage data standards across locations without modifying software or databases. The release supports the company’s focus on enabling direct control for warehouse operators.
Capital utilisation
pyck will use the funds to support team expansion, advance product development, and extend the company’s reach to logistics operators in more regions.
Co-founder and CEO, Dr.-Ing. Daniel Jarr, says, “Every warehouse has unique processes, inventory or operational models. Yet, Warehouse Management Software (WMS) vendors offer off-the-shelf software that requires a lot of financial investment and time to make it match their needs. pyck allows to create unique warehouse software that can be implemented and adjusted 60 per cent faster and cheaper.”
“This new funding will support the constant evolution of our open source toolkit to allow the integration of new tech, infrastructure and partners to the system,” adds Jarr.
