Last update:

Munich-based Raily, a company specialising in an AI-driven platform that fosters meaningful human connections, has completed its pre-seed funding round, securing $1.7M (nearly €1.57M) at a valuation of $17M (nearly €15.79M). The investors, however, remain undisclosed.

Raily is dedicated to tackling the widespread challenges of loneliness and social anxiety by leveraging advanced technology.

Raily App: Meets on the move

Raily claims to distinguish itself from traditional social and travel apps by harnessing artificial intelligence to match users according to their daily habits, interests, and social inclinations.

This method transforms routine tasks into opportunities for authentic engagement, providing a refreshing alternative to the existing superficial interactions on social media platforms.

Raily serves as a conduit between digital and real-world connections, simplifying the process of meeting new individuals via its mobile application.

The company says, “By blending the science of human behaviour, emotions, and relationships with cutting-edge technology, Raily offers not only the opportunity to find friends and partners but to understand oneself, one’s needs, and desires.”

For instance, if a user enjoys morning jogs and coffee shop visits, Raily’s AI might suggest a meetup with someone who shares similar habits, like a joint coffee run.

This matchmaking ensures users are linked with individuals who “naturally” fit into their lifestyles, facilitating the creation of authentic relationships.

According to Raily, “Millions of people take train trips, but they are often lonely and boring. Existing dating apps based on geolocation do not solve this problem. Our app will allow travellers to find interesting companions during the trips themselves.”

Capital utilisation

The funds will help Raily enhance its AI algorithms, expand user acquisition efforts, and fortify data security protocols. The company also plans to provide new features such as the AI concierge, which delivers tailored suggestions for meetups and events.

Furthermore, Raily will soon venture into the Web3 realm, unveiling booking functionalities for flights, hotels, and beyond, simplifying travel and fostering “seamless” connections on the move.

The company is also preparing for its forthcoming seed round for further growth and development.
