London-based RightHub, a collaborative Intellectual Property (IP) platform for managing and enforcing innovation and ideas, announced on Wednesday that it has secured $15M (approximately €13.89M) in an oversubscribed Seed round of funding.

RightHub co-founder Toni Nijm says, “It is the first time that a platform in our industry emerged with an equal emphasis on all IP types and workflows with a horizontal focus on removing the friction IP professionals experience in their daily practice.”

“IP is, by definition, a network-based industry where communication and collaboration are a daily routine. However, the industry is still operating as if everything is done in isolation. We want to change all of that!,” adds Nijm.

RightHub says it will use the funds to further develop the capabilities of its platform and scale up the go-to-market team across multiple geographies.

About RightHub

RightHub claims to change the daily life of creators who seek to protect their ideas, and the IP professionals assisting them along the way.

Founded in 2021 by Jon-James Kirtland, Toni Nijm and Jeppe Hudtloff Viinberg, RightHub has created a tool that connects forward-thinking producers and IP experts worldwide to make the process of acquiring, maintaining, and enforcing IP more efficient and stress-free.

It reduces the amount of manual work, expense and risk associated with IP, while also providing clarity and cost assurance to the end user.

RightHub serves as the command center for IP owners, where they can assess innovations and brand-related concepts, submit, renew, change ownership, and observe, monitor, and implement everything IP.

IP specialists at law companies are now able to improve productivity within their IP practices while giving their customers a modern, integrated experience and introducing useful services that create new income streams with real, measurable ROI for clients.

RightHub says innovative creators and IP experts from more than 2,800 corporations and law firms are already using its platform on a daily basis to file, manage, and implement IP.

Currently, RightHub employs 75 people in its locations in the US, the UK, Denmark, and Sweden. IP specialists make up half of the team, while the other half is made up of top-tier engineers with an emphasis on software and data.
