SylloTips: Bridging the gap between proof-of-concept and real-world operations

SylloTips was founded in 2023 by Giorgio Barnabò (PhD in AI, ex-Amazon), Leonardo Martini (PhD in AI, ex-Harvard) and Simone Silvestri (ex-Ericsson).

The Italian company that provides AI agents designed for Microsoft Teams. These agents include human oversight and managed memory.

The software integrates with major enterprise tools and supports functions in sales, marketing, customer service, and operations.

A recent MIT study calls it the “GenAI divide”: 95 per cent of organisations see no measurable returns from generative AI, and only 5 per cent of solutions make it beyond the pilot stage.

The issue is not model power, but the learning gap: systems that fail to adapt to context, retain feedback, or integrate seamlessly into existing workflows.

This gap between proof-of-concept and real-world operations is precisely where SylloTips steps in.

Giorgio Barnabò, CEO and co-founder, explains, “Companies don’t need another chatbot: they need agents that know when to ask for help, learn from experts, and continuously improve. With SylloTips, agents enter processes, interact with existing systems, and rely on a governed, verifiable memory. That’s how you move from pilots to results.”

“Human-in-the-loop” approach

“Human-in-the-loop” is the formula behind SylloTips’ approach to adapting AI to complex corporate contexts.

With the company’s solution, AI agents are integrated into Microsoft Teams support professionals across key business functions — sales, customer service, operations, and IT, accessing and applying product and process knowledge in line with corporate policies.

A main feature of SylloTips is how it helps AI agents when they’re unsure of an answer.

When that happens, the system reaches out to the company’s experts for guidance.

The information from these experts is saved in a shared knowledge base, which helps the agents improve over time.

This allows the agents to learn from people, stay effective, explain their choices, follow rules, and get better with use.

Among the most successful use cases are call centre support (shorter average handling times and greater consistency in responses), assistance to field workers (contextualised procedures, checklists and troubleshooting in the field), and enablement of sales networks (offer preparation

and technical-commercial Q&A on complex catalogues.

Moreover,mSylloTips is an official Microsoft partner, available on Azure Marketplace and already MACC-eligible, simplifying procurement via pre-allocated Azure budgets.

On the integration side, the software connects with major enterprise systems — Salesforce, SAP, ServiceNow, Jira, Google Drive, Microsoft Copilot, and proprietary data lakes, avoiding new application silos and adhering to IT policies.

Already trusted by clients such as EOLO, COIMA, Leonardo Assicurazioni, and Gruppo AB, the Italian company’s tool is gaining recognition for converting 100 per cent of pilot projects into production implementations.

The company was accelerated by Techstars Transformative World Torino in 2024.
