Tallinn-based Supersimple, an AI-native data analytics platform, announced that it has secured $2.2M (approximately €2M) in a pre-seed round of funding. The platform empowers users to explore data and provide precise answers to complex queries within minutes.
The investment was led by Tera Ventures with participation from Specialist VC, Tiny VC and various angel investors, including the former CTO of Twilio and the founders of Sixfold and Grünfin.
Capital utilisation
Supersimple will use the funds to speed up customer growth and improve explainable AI.
Marko Klopets, co-founder and CEO of Supersimple, says, “We set out to design and build something that’s simple enough for anybody to pick up, yet powerful enough to support the most advanced workflows imaginable.”
“We’re bringing something scary and complex to people who aren’t necessarily data experts or engineers, while also serving those data people and engineers directly.”
“We’re combining state-of-the-art technology with thoughtful design. For this, we’ve assembled a world-class product engineering and AI team.”
Helping humans deeply understand data
According to a statement, Supersimple thinks the way companies use technology to understand data needs to change. Instead of basic charts or boring chat interfaces, they believe in a future where AI helps people get highly specific data insights.
Supersimple’s data analytics platform uses AI and semantic data modeling to provide users with dependable, uniform data for their daily tasks. The platform, tailored for B2B SaaS firms, also allows non-technical members to get data insights and make informed decisions.
Marko Klopets, co-founder and CEO at Supersimple says, “Most of the value in data doesn’t come from staring at a dashboard. Instead, it comes from deep, specific questions – testing hypotheses, exploring and iterating.”
“Supersimple was built around this insight to help teams always have the right information to make great decisions. Making structured data from data warehouses accessible and usable is the first step towards Supersimple becoming the operating system of the fastest growing companies.”
Supersimple believes that purpose-built, comprehensive platforms are essential to meet the versatility and trust demands of enterprises and mission-critical workflows. Additionally, the company claims to prioritise user experience and design in a field where it’s often overlooked.
The data analytics platform enables users to answer complex data questions effortlessly through no-code, natural language interfaces, without requiring knowledge of SQL or Python.
The AI explains every step, ensuring transparency, freeing up data teams for strategic initiatives and empowering the rest of the organisation.
Eamonn Carey, partner at Tera Ventures, says, “Over the last few years, data warehouses have become ubiquitous and data stacks are better than ever. Yet companies are still struggling to actually make use of their data.”
“When I heard Marko explain his vision and I saw the platform in action, it became crystal clear that this is what the future would look like.”
How does Supersimple work?
SuperSimple allows users to answer complex ad-hoc data questions in minutes. It offers a no-code interface for describing intents, bypassing the need for SQL queries or table joins.
The platform integrates with existing data warehouses, providing essential tools for measuring and improving team performance.
SuperSimple enables users to answer data queries using plain English or advanced AI models. It eliminates the need for SQL or Python coding, using a no-code interface. Sometimes natural language wins, and sometimes using a structured UI will feel more natural.
The company prioritises data explainability, recognising the importance of deep understanding for drawing accurate conclusions. Its data modeling layer centralises definitions and abstracts database details, empowering users to answer their own questions confidently.
This enables data teams to focus on strategic tasks rather than addressing individual queries repeatedly.
