London-based Synthesia, an AI video platform for enterprises, has announced a strategic investment from Adobe Ventures. The company also reported surpassing $100M (nearly €88.20M) in annual recurring revenue (ARR).
With this funding, Synthesia elevates as the UK’s largest generative AI company by revenue and strengthens its position as one of the few European companies with a global presence in the AI sector.
Victor Riparbelli, CEO and co-founder of Synthesia, says, “We are incredibly proud to announce these milestones. Reaching $100M in ARR underscores the significant value and impact our AI video platform and solutions bring to enterprises and the shared determination of our team to build a generational software business.”
“The Adobe Ventures investment represents a powerful endorsement of our vision for enterprise-grade video communications, enabling us to deliver even greater innovation and customer value.”
Growth and development
Synthesia’s growth is driven by three main factors: first, the platform sees increased use from existing customers, with thousands of organisations using it daily for purposes such as training, marketing, and customer support.
Second, Synthesia has expanded its customer base, with over 70 per cent of the Fortune 100 now using the platform, up from 40 per cent two years ago.
Third, the company enhanced its platform with new features like AI-powered tools and live collaboration, while maintaining high-level security to address the complex needs of businesses.
Peter Kyle, UK Secretary of State for Science, Innovation, and Technology, says, “It’s great to see yet another British tech company attracting international investment – and that’s in part because we’re creating the environment where home-grown companies and innovators can flourish and do what they do best.”
“Synthesia are living proof of how that approach is working. Through this investment and with their annual revenue stream now topping more than $100M, Synthesia represents a prime example of a British AI company becoming a global success story.”
Earlier in January 2025, the London-based company secured a $180M (approximately €174.5M) Series D funding round led by NEA.
