Tilburg-based TRAVIS Road Services, a Dutch platform for booking, paying and managing truck services, has been acquired by Knorr-Bremse, a Berlin-based supplier of braking systems and technology for rail and commercial vehicles.

A digital platform for truck services

TRAVIS Road Services began in 2010 with one goal – to simplify truck services for transport companies. It started as a weekend truck wash service and has grown into a platform for truck services across Europe.

Operating as a B2B booking platform, TRAVIS focuses on building solutions that support truck operations and improve service access for users.

Through its platform, TRAVIS connects services such as parking, repair, washing, charging, and tank cleaning. With its APIs and app, systems and users can locate, book, and pay for available truck services. This approach reduces administrative work, improves insight, and supports smoother operations for transport companies.

Jochem de Graaf, CEO of TRAVIS, says, “I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved. From a local truck wash in Tilburg to a platform with over 2,500 service partners in 26 countries, and over 7,000 carriers we’re already serving daily in just a few years.”

“We’ve proven that truck services can be integrated into the sector’s daily operations in a smarter, simpler, and more efficient way. None of this would have been possible without our loyal partners and customers who believe in our solutions, and of course, our fantastic team of TRAVIS employees who make it happen every single day.”

Aim of the acquisition

The acquisition enables TRAVIS to expand its capabilities and capacity, providing services to carriers, service partners, and the transportation sector. It also enables the company to expand its reach to users and develop digital solutions for carriers.

Jochem de Graaf says, “By joining Knorr-Bremse, we’re accelerating our future. Together, we’re developing new opportunities to bring greater efficiency and predictability to the truck services drivers need every day—from parking, cleaning, and repairs to electric charging and more. As one team, we’ll continue to do what we do best: create solutions that simplify the lives of carriers and service partners.”

TRAVIS will continue operating with its current platform and solutions, supported by Knorr-Bremse’s technology and reach. The partnership aims to drive faster development and broader service availability across Europe.

Bernd Spies, Member of the Board of Management of Knorr-Bremse AG and responsible for the Commercial Vehicle Systems division, adds, “With the acquisition of TRAVIS, we are taking the next step toward a holistic and digitalised aftermarket ecosystem. At its core is increasing the efficiency of maintenance and repair processes for commercial vehicles across the entire value chain.”

“In the future, we want to leverage and further expand the full market potential of digital services for our customers. This will create genuine added value for workshops, transporters, and drivers, while strengthening our collaboration and interaction.”

“With its digital platform, TRAVIS ideally complements the existing components of our ecosystem and serves as a key building block for services that increase efficiency in daily work.”
