The Hague-based Uprent, a startup that aims to transform the rental search process with AI, has secured €200K in a pre-seed round of funding. The investor, however, remains anonymous.
Yury Vilenskiy, co-founder & CEO of Uprent, says, “This investment will allow us to accelerate our growth and bring our vision to life — help as many people as possible find rentals quickly, distribute tenant flow from Randstad to other parts of the country, and reduce rental transaction costs.”
“We’re especially proud to have achieved this in the Netherlands, where it’s harder for internationals to raise capital. We love this country, its culture, and are grateful for the opportunity to benefit local people,” adds Vilenskiy.
What does Uprent offer?
Uprent is an AI-powered browser extension that streamlines the rental search process, removes inefficiencies, and saves users time.
The company aims to help people find rental homes quickly, redistribute tenant flow from densely populated areas like Amsterdam and Rotterdam, and cut rental transaction costs by up to 20 per cent of the annual rent.
Uprent was founded by Aleksandr Chistiakov, who serves as the CTO, and Yury Vilenskiy, who joined as CEO. Best friends and collaborators since 2016, Chistiakov and Vilenskiy are dedicated to transforming the rental search process.
“When we faced rent-hunting issues ourselves – we just couldn’t bear the idea that other people would struggle as much as we did. We collaborated with the best real estate agents to get their expertise and give our users an unfair advantage.”
“Now, with Uprent, we’re on a mission to simplify the rental search for as many people as possible and make it as unbiased as possible,” says the company.
