weXelerate, a startup accelerator based inย Vienna, admitted two Dutch IoT-startups,ย Zenodys and Capte, to its program.ย weXelerate will launch itsย next edition of the accelerator programย on March 5th, 2018. The program admitted 52 start-ups from 21 countries, weXelerate’s primary focus is on five industries (Infrastructure & Energy, Industry 4.0, Media, Insurance, and Banking) and cross-industry technologies such as the Internet of Things, Mobility, Artificial Intelligence, Bots, Blockchain and Cyber Security in a four-month incubation period.ย ย
Rockstart-alumnus Zenodys is an IoT development platform that makers can use to collect data from any source such asย IoT sensors and devices, legacy machines,ย things, applications, services, and databases and use it to build application backends.ย The platform lets makers applyย complex logic and code involving machine learning, demandย response, and predictive maintenance to machines.
The other startup Capte provides Capte Cloud, Tachographs, access control systems, and APIs and SDKs for app development.
โOur second batch is significantly more international thanย the first one. With the accumulated experience of the past months, we have created anย excellent baseย toย makeย our accelerator program even more effective in the future. In the remaining three working weeks, before theย onboardingย week,ย we areย going toย focusย on numerous innovation projectsย which will beย launched in the coming months,” saidย Stephan Jung, Managing Partner and Head of the Accelerator Program.
Startups get support
The admitted startups get all kind of support starting from networking and mentoring to more outcome-oriented facilities likeย exposure to present business to a network of international investors on site, individual coaching, and free working space.
Though there are many startup accelerators and incubation programs popping up all over Europe, aย significant advantage of weXelerate is that big companies can also take advantage of it. Corporations planning to run/launch their own accelerators can outsource the startup screening and nurturing process to weXelerate. The accelerator has obtained financial backing ofย City of Vienna which will help it focus on its core mission to fast-track as many high-tech startups through their initial journey.
