Utrecht-based Wezoo, a flexible workspace solution provider, announced on Friday, May 5, that it has acquired Amsterdam-based Affic, a startup that helps flexible workspaces find new customers and increase bookings.
According to Affic, platforms like Wezoo enable coworking spaces to increase their visibility, user base, and profitability. However, for the time being, everything is done manually. This leads to coworking spaces losing revenue as they cannot provide flexibility profitably.
This is where Affic steps in.
The company specialises in making API integrations that connect property management systems (PMS) used by coworking spaces to manage their inventory with user-interface platforms such as Wezoo.
It helps find new customers by distributing meeting rooms, desks, and office spaces to platforms, marketplaces, and brokers.
Patrick Nijssen, founder of Affic, says, “We’re happy to join forces with the Wezoo team! The technology we’ve developed at Affic over the last few years fits perfectly with Wezoo’s unique solution that provides unlimited flexibility to employees worldwide.”
What next for Wezoo?
The integration with Affic will help Wezoo offer a plug-and-play solution for coworking spaces everywhere.
Tjeerd Bongers, Co-founder of Wezoo, says, “Together with Affic, we offer our hosts and users a fully automated process: our users see the live availability of seats and spaces and can make bookings instantly.”
“Everything is handled by Wezoo, automatically. This means that coworking space operators grow revenue without any additional effort, so they save tons of time and can focus on their guests,” adds Bongers.
Additionally, Wezoo can also expand the number of connected coworking spaces at a “very high pace”. The company expects to have access to more than 1,000 coworking spaces in Europe by the end of 2024.
