Whisper, a cybersecurity platform from Amsterdam that aims to predict cyber attacks using an internet monitoring system called “God Mode,” has announced a pre-seed funding round of €1.6M. The announcement comes as the company emerges from stealth.

The investment was led by Atlas AI^VB Fund I, with participation from Antler, D11Z, Tioga Trust, and Volve Capital.

The funding will support Whisper’s expansion into Europe and the US and enable the company to grow its technology and sales teams through strategic hires. Since launching in January, Whisper has secured pilot projects with cybersecurity partners and aims to accelerate its market entry.

See the internet in God Mode

Whisper is developing a cybersecurity platform that uses knowledge graph technology to monitor internet infrastructure and predict cyber attacks. The platform provides users with a system called “God Mode”, which offers a network-level view to detect threats earlier in the attack lifecycle.

Cybercrime has grown by over 300 per cent since 2015, driven by tactics such as multi-vector, correlated, and AI-powered attacks. As threat actors increase their capabilities, global cybersecurity-related losses are projected to reach $10.5T annually by the end of 2025, according to McKinsey.

Leonardo Carlo Calisse, co-founder & CEO of Whisper, says, “The surge in multi-vector, AI-driven cyber attacks is pushing enterprises to confront a new era of complex and coordinated threats, demanding an entirely new generation of cybersecurity. With Whisper, we give defenders unprecedented, real-time visibility into attacker infrastructure, enabling them to act before damage is done. Think a live threat radar for cyber threats.”

Whisper aims to help organisations move from reacting to attacks to predicting them. It maps internet activity to spot threats early and reduce harm.

The platform serves multiple sectors:

  • Cybersecurity providers can integrate real-time infrastructure intelligence APIs to deliver more responsive threat prediction.
  • Integration partners can embed Whisper’s solutions into AI-powered and automated security systems.
  • Government and defence agencies can use the platform to detect coordinated threats, malicious networks, and digital espionage, with visibility into the origin of traffic.
  • Enterprises can apply the platform to predict threats continuously and correlate internet infrastructure data to manage cyber risks.

Whisper was founded in January 2025 by Soroush Rafiee Rad, Leonardo Carlo Calisse, and Kaveh Ranjbar after emerging from Antler’s fall 2024 programme, where it was selected for funding among 0.41 per cent of 8,000 startups.

Rafiee Rad holds two PhDs in mathematics and complex systems, Calisse has led startup growth efforts, and Ranjbar has held roles in internet governance, including CIO of RIPE NCC and board member at ICANN.

RJ Schuurs, Partner at Antler, says, “Whisper has a founding team of real industry experts building world-class technology to address the rapidly growing and evolving problem of cyber attacks. They have the potential to become one of the leading cybersecurity companies in the world, and we are delighted to have supported them from day zero.”
