Amsterdam-based 10x.team, a members-only platform uniting fractional talent with ambitious companies to deliver 10x outcomes, announced that it closed an oversubscribed seed funding round of €1M.
The investment included important angel investors who are a group of founders and former top managers from companies like Adyen, Euro-Rijn, Brand New Day, Ohpen, Narwhal Investments, and Valtech.
Maikel Lobbezoo, managing partner UNETI, former Adyen executive, and now an angel investor in 10x.team, says, “Various times I’ve had the privilege to experience the importance of a great team, but also the power of a fractional expert. I believe that 10x can play a pivotal role in bringing fractional talent to the European market and scaling and transforming companies.”
A fractional talent platform
Founded in 2023 by Angelique Schouten and Anton Zhelyazkov, 10x.team claims to lead the way in fractional professional services. In six months since its launch, the company has introduced a beta version of its AI-driven platform.
The platform connects “top” talent with ambitious startups, growing companies, and established ones to achieve “exceptional” results.
10x.team’s platform offers special subscription services for top executives and solutions like software code review and roadmap optimisation. It helps businesses at all growth stages to improve their skills and abilities.
“We try to support our 10x-ers as best as we can with tooling such as our match-making module, invoice engine and template library. All focused at taking away the things you do not like or take up a lot of your time. By doing so we are maximising outcomes for the companies who work with our 10x-ers,” says the company.
Since its inception, 10x.team has grown to over 500 expert professionals and has served over 50 clients, including companies like Inshared, Kempen Van Lanschot, Amsterdam Arena, Bijles Aan Huis, Mobility Concept, and ParkBee.
Capital utilisation
The funds will help 10x.team grow in the market since it is aiming at the big gig economy market, which is worth $500B. The company has already been expanding over the past six months, and this investment will make it even faster.
Angelique Schouten, founder and CEO of 10x.team, says, “With this seed funding, 10x.team will amplify its mission to deliver an AI-driven, fractional professional services platform. We are the first to champion the fractional work model, integrating top-tier talent with ambitious businesses.”
“This capital injection also comes at a time when the talent market is evolving, with professionals increasingly seeking more flexible ways to shape their careers—a trend echoed by 63 per cent of company directors who believe that skill-based and fractional work is the future of organisational development.”
“This investment will enable us to expand both our team and our platform, meeting the growing demand for our services.”
