Netherlands-based ADG services group, which is active with 12 subsidiary companies in the cleaning & facility management, care & welfare and personnel services sectors, announced that it intends to sell its subsidiaries Timing, InPerson, Personality, Doordoeners, and Youbahn to the French international PROMAN Group.
The sale is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2022.
With this development, ADG’s people services portfolio is being phased out. The planned sale is in accordance with the company’s long-term plan to concentrate on facility services. To guarantee a smooth transfer, ADG will keep a minority share.
Hans Kroeze, GM of ADG services group, says, “Timing and the other companies in the personnel services branch have grown into healthy, robust companies over the years at ADG. With PROMAN, we have found a buyer who shares the same family values as ADG, combined with many years of experience and specialisation in the temporary employment industry in 16 countries. We are therefore confident that our businesses will continue to thrive outside of ADG. The sale fits in with our strategy to focus more on the facilities branch of our company.”
Everything you need to know about ADG
The ADG service group traces its roots back to Joop van Riemsdijk’s cleaning firm Asito, which was established in 1952. It all started 65 years ago with cleaning up all the dust in Twente (eastern Netherlands). ADG is currently a family-owned and operated company.
With the acquisition of Timing in the 1970s, the first staffing activities were added to ADG’s portfolio. From 2004, ADG entered other markets in addition to the cleaning sector and the temporary employment market. As a result of this strategy, the Personnel Services cluster was expanded and the Care and Welfare cluster was developed.
In 2011, AAFM Facility Management was added to the service group, which is now known as HEYDAY, taking a second step toward the further potential for long-term growth. In 2016, the company created and released Youbahn, followed by SOMEONE in 2017. In 2021, the firm added MB-All to its portfolio to add public safety to the mix.
Currently, ADG’s facilities branch is active in cleaning, maintenance, consultancy, interim services, and care. The company aims to become a top-3 player in all market segments.
