Amsterdam-based TheyDo, a journey management platform, announced on Tuesday that it has raised €12M in a Series A round of funding led by Blossom Capital with participation from 20VC.

Notable angels Des Traynor (Intercom), Grisha Pavlotsky (Miro), Jeroen Nieuwenhuijs (Snowflake), Elena Verna (PLG Amplitude/Miro), Eleanor Dorfman (Retool), Kyle Parrish (Figma), John Cutler (Amplitude), Annie Pearl (Calendly), Risto Lahdesmaki (Ex Capgemini), and Lawrenche Chu (Goodwin) also participated in the round.

The Dutch company says it intends to use the funds to build a team of designers and engineers to enhance its Journey Management platform.

Jochem van der Veer, TheyDo co-founder and CEO, says, “We all know the importance of understanding the customer journey by now, but turning that understanding into action, alignment, and creating a way of working around these journeys is incredibly hard. The reason we started TheyDo is that we’ve seen companies who are journey-centric not only outperform their competition but also have a way better internal culture. Cross-functional alignment, without the endless back-and-forth, is only created when everyone rallies around the customer journey. I expect businesses will soon wonder how they ever succeeded without the competitive advantage Journey Management provides.”

The announcement comes ten months after raising €1.7M in a fresh round of funding.

TheyDo claims to have grown 600 per cent over the past year.

The company works with organisations such as Atlassian, Cisco, IBM, Johnson & Johnson, and T-Mobile.
