A couple of months after entering Denmark to attract and support sustainable tech companies, the global early-stage VC firm Antler has unveiled the list of seven startups it has invested in during its third UK cohort. The seven companies represent sectors including proptech, cybersecurity, and construction.
It is worth noting that the second UK cohort was announced back in October 2020, amid the coronavirus pandemic. For the third UK cohort, over 3000 applications were received from entrepreneurs, reveals Antler.
According to the early-stage VC, around 38 businesses were built through the UK cohort, helping them find co-founders and build strong teams, validate their business ideas, and gain early traction.
Demo Day
This is where everything culminates. Demo Day is when the founders pitch their business to a room full of investors in the hope to secure investment.
Just like last year, Demo Day 2021 will be hosted remotely to a global audience of investors, VCs, and entrepreneurs. You can join the London Demo Day at 2 PM on Thursday, April 15th, by registering here.
Antler then provides pre-seed and later-stage capital to the successful companies through local funds in each location.
Ollie Purdue, Partner of Antler London, says, “Our third London cohort has made incredible progress. We are delighted to have invested in such a strong group of entrepreneurs, and we are excited to be part of their journey as they grow. The strength of our London cohort is indicative of the London technology industry at large, which has emerged unscathed from the global pandemic, and is driving towards new, unprecedented heights.”
