Last update:

Founded by Cédric Nève in 2015, the Belgian startup Digiteal SA recently has secured €832k in equity funding, on top of the €200k loan, making it to the total of over €1 million. The fintech startup is planning to use this fund for scaling up its operation across Europe.

This funding round was led by existing shareholders EASI and LeanSquare, as well as new private investors via the crowdfunding platform Spreds, and Novalia.

For the uninitiated, the Digiteal SA is a FinTech company certified by the National Bank of Belgium that can operate in the whole SEPA zone. The Digiteal offers to every European citizen a personal assistant to manage their e-invoices and perform their online payments.

By optimising invoice management and payment, Digiteal avoids the ecological waste of paper invoices.

This, in turn, allows companies and individuals to have a positive impact on the environment and to devote their time to what is essential. The company also aims at becoming the first pan-European e-invoicing platform for the B2C market.

Cédric Nève, the founder of Digiteal, said:

This capital increase will allow Digiteal to move forward: providing even more trusted payments, being the first company to support the European standard for electronic invoicing PEPPOL for individuals, and deploying Digiteal across Europe.
