Amsterdam-based Bringly, a company that enables e-commerce brands to offer sustainable deliveries, announced that it has raised €1.5M in a Seed round of funding.

The round was led by Dutch fund Eyos Capital and the Polish SpeedUp Energy Innovation, which is part of the SpeedUp Venture Capital Group. Existing investors Shamrock Ventures, Ponooc and various angel investors also participated in this round.

Bartłomiej Gola, General Partner of SpeedUp Energy Innovation, says, “We strongly believe that Bringly, thanks to its proprietary technology, has the potential to become a pivotal part in the process of transforming the last-mile delivery logistics segment towards a more transparent and sustainable future.”

“Moreover, Bringly combines it with vast benefits for the delivery companies as with the Company’s product, Bringly partners’ fleets are utilised more efficiently. Therefore Bringly helps them in the critical point of their operations that may soon determine the new order in this particular market segment,” adds Gola.

Smart and sustainable multi-carrier orchestration

Founded in 2019 by Rajiv Laigsingh and Anton Liulichev, Bringly offers a scalable solution for same-day and sustainable delivery to retailers and web shops.

The platform optimises the available delivery capacity of couriers at the urban level and delivers parcels quickly and sustainably from shops, hubs, dark stores, and central distribution centres.

To achieve this, the startup has created a software programme that compiles environment-friendly delivery per package based on the optimal route and the available capacity.

Bringly’s algorithm watches the available capacities and performance of linked couriers and messengers. It then offers immediate insights into the related CO2 reduction in both the online store checkout and the weekly reports.

The company’s renewed platform retains standard features such as SLA monitoring, shipment standards, support, tracing, and branding.

Currently, Bringly has partnerships with over 100 various kinds of providers across Europe.

Laigsingh says, “It is our mission to make the entire logistics chain more sustainable, transparent and future-proof. Based on our smart routing, allocation and split of the first, middle and last mile, every package can be delivered faster, more efficiently and in the most sustainable way.”

“We can claim that we can ship every package in the most sustainable way possible. This can be done from both stores and central distribution centres. Whether that means the last mile by bike or a consolidated delivery to a city hub, every CO2 saving within the logistics chain is one towards a better future. We are able to make the entire customer experience at webshops more sustainable and improve it.”

Recent growth capital utilisation

With over 300 per cent growth in the previous year, Bringly says it has already been able to work with foreign customers such as MediaMarkt, Dille & Kamille, and Dyson to reduce CO2 emissions.

The Amsterdam-based startup is getting ready for upcoming European regulations that will require online stores to cut CO2 pollution throughout their logistics operation. The additional reporting provided by the startup enables the measurement, analysis, and reporting of the real effect.

With the new funding, Bringly says it will grow its staff, network of (sustainable) carriers in Europe, its platform, and continue to build its software and algorithms.
