Poor fundraising practice, inappropriate data sharing, and scandals have all contributed to knocking down people’s confidence in charity. As per the company claims, the trust in the charitable sector is at its lowest since 2001.

Aims to regain trust!

In this regard, Dutch startup Kinder aims to regain trust in the charitable sector by becoming the efficiency partner for global organisations, increasing private donations across the industry.

Kinder, a tech-for-good startup, launches its new online research and donation platform dedicated to promote transparent nonprofits and increase private donations in the charitable sector.

Uses Vetting Framework!

Based out of Amsterdam, the company assesses charitable organisations with its Vetting Framework, built with the help of Impact Center Erasmus. It’s worth mentioning that Vetting also means examining or checking. In other words, it is gathering information on an organisation to determine its soundness.

To date, the startup analysed over 2,000 international organisations based on transparency, accountability, operational competence, and sixty more drivers.

Raised €1.5 million to date!

For the uninitiated, Kinder offers online fundraising tools for charities through the Charity Zone, an online platform research and donation platform dedicated to promote transparent nonprofits and increase private donations in the charitable sector.

Founded by serial tech entrepreneur Mathys van Abbe, the tech-for-good startup has so far raised €1.5 million to date. Upon approval, the organisations can access innovative donation tools, consult objective research, and receive tailored advice on how to make their fundraising more effective.

Notably, international organisations such as Cordaid and Movement on The Ground already joined forces with Kinder by signing up for the Charity Zone.

Mathys van Abbe, founder, and CEO of Kinder said:

We believe that to regain trust in the charitable sector, we must join forces with organisations for a kinder world. That’s why we help transparent nonprofits all across the world to become more effective using tech, research, and storytelling. At the same time, we help people find their way to the most effective organisations rather than the loudest.
