Belgium-based Datasharp, a data intelligence group supported by Strada Partners, has announced its acquisition of Woosmap, a location intelligence platform in Europe.
The acquisition of Woosmap follows Datasharp’s earlier acquisitions of Infobel and Techsalerator in 2025.
With this acquisition, Datasharp aims to consolidate the fragmented data market and build a reliable business data infrastructure that will power AI and enterprise applications on a global scale.
Woosmap: European location intelligence platform
Based out of Montpellier, France, Woosmap is known for its patented technologies in search, geocoding, map rendering, and routing, which allow businesses to enrich their applications with accurate and privacy-focused location intelligence.
Over the past year, Woosmap claims to have processed more than 27 billion API queries, maintaining a remarkable 99.99 per cent service level agreement (SLA).
The platform has built a strong reputation among over 300 clients, including both enterprise and scale-up companies.
The platform is utilised by major brands such as Auchan, Carrefour, Leroy Merlin, Etam, Yves Rocher, Hubo, Wecasa, and Holland & Barrett.
Its versatile applications are widely used for services including store and product locators, estimated delivery times, geofencing, indoor navigation, mobility solutions, and providing real-time business insights.
The announcement comes at a time when the French company demonstrated strong and profitable growth, supported by a recurring, usage-based revenue model and exceptional customer retention.
The company is now approaching €10M in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR). At present, Woosmap operates from Paris, London and Madrid and serves clients globally.
Post acquisition, Jean Thomas (JT) Rouzin, CEO of Woosmap, will continue leading the company.
For JT, joining Datasharp marks the beginning of a new chapter. “For us, this partnership is a perfect match. Datasharp’s global business data layers and strong US footprint open a completely new growth stage for Woosmap. By merging our geolocation APIs with their business datasets, we can offer richer and more powerful tools that combine geolocation,
identity and business context, which is exactly what our customers are asking for.”
He adds, “Location services are a mix of geospatial algorithms and high-quality content. By joining Datasharp, we combine the best technology with the best data to help companies build their own location intelligence instead of relying on generic off-the-shelf solutions. We remain committed to supporting the developer community with tools that scale, while maintaining strong control on privacy and cost of ownership.”
Woosmap will be a key hub for Datasharp, located in Paris and Montpellier. This strengthens Datasharp’s presence in its four main cities: Miami, Brussels, London, and Paris.
