Belgian company APROPLAN and Danish firm GenieBelt have finally announced their merger to instigate a new contech startup. The joint venture will be named as LetsBuild. The fresh initiative has brought the attention of investors including Fortino, Inventure, Enern, Solar A/S and Nordic Makers who already endowed an undisclosed amount to the new startup.
LetsBuild – a real-time digital contech solution
The novel platform LetsBuild will enable construction industry to have a cloud-driven real-time management involving on-site scheduling, progress report and on-site follow-up communication. Further, it will also facilitate precise decision-making along with digitisation of snagging, sketching and checklist.
GenieBelt + APROPLAN = LetsBuild
The new startup LetsBuild will be a complete contech solution eliminating the deadlock pertaining to miscommunication and redundant devastation of time, resources and money through manual admin.
LetsBuild will be operational in the construction arena of 35 countries across the world.
Regarding the merger, Klaus Nyengaard, CEO of GenieBelt expressed, “We share the vision that ‘simple to use’ products will bring immense value to the construction sector. When we met in October 2018 we concluded that the way to realise this vision was to unite our companies to create a broader product and cover more needs in the market.”
APROPLAN’s CEO Thomas Goubau articulated, “We could have decided to just cooperate and integrate features from each other. But we wanted to make sure that we were totally aligned in the market since our products complement each other extremely well and our companies have shared values. Our existing customers will have access to a broader range of innovative solutions to cover all core processes in the built phase.”
Headquarters in Brussels and Copenhagen
With 120+ employees, LetsBuild will maintain headquarters in both the cities Brussels and Copenhagen. Reportedly, GenieBelt co-founder and CEO Klaus Nyengaard will be the CEO of LetsBuild. The designation of CCO will be kept by APROPLAN’s CEO and co-founder Thomas Goubau.
