The Dutch exclusive dating app The Inner Circle has announced that the startup is expanding its reach to Hong Kong, Sydney and Melbourne. With this, one of its glaring issues has been fixed – the limited number of members.
Now a little less lonely!
The Inner Circle was founded by David Vermeulen and Michael Krayenhoff in 2012. Apart from Amsterdam, the app is also available in Barcelona, London, Milan, Paris, Stockholm and Berlin.
Although the app itself is not perfect, it does get a lot of things right. It’s one of the few dating apps out there that host offline events to let its members be more connected to each other.
Despite the app’s claim that it has had 1 million matches, one of its issues is the limited number of users. You may get matched three to seven times, but one can never be sure that the person you matched would be located close by. Add in also the possibility that the person you’re matched will not be interested in having a serious relationship, the odds aren’t really that great.
According to a review at The Dating Truth, in just a few days or so, one can easily exhaust their options and become bored with checking the app every day. There are only a limited number of “genuine” singles available, even to a large city like San Francisco. So with The Inner Circle’s plans in expanding its reach to Hong Kong, Sydney and Melbourne, this is definitely something worth celebrating, because it will provide more options to its single members that are looking for true love.
