Stockholm-based Einride, a freight technology company providing digital, electric and autonomous shipping for road freight, has raised $100M (approximately €85.1M) in funding.

The round saw a mix of existing and new investors, including EQT Ventures, one of Einride’s largest shareholders, as well as other investors and shareholders.

EQT Ventures is an early-stage venture capital firm based in Luxembourg, with investment advisors in key cities, including Stockholm, Amsterdam, London, New York, Berlin, and Paris.

“We believe Einride is building the most complete and forward-looking freight ecosystem on the market today,” said Ted Persson, partner at EQT Ventures. “Nordic tech has a habit of being underestimated, until it quietly rewires an entire industry. That’s exactly what Einride is doing in freight.”

The $100M includes an earlier investment from IonQ, a quantum company, to create quantum applications that can solve large logistics problems that classical computers find difficult.

The funding will help the company grow its autonomous freight solutions, improve technology, and increase its customer base.

“I am excited and proud of the continued trust our investors have placed in us”, says Roozbeh Charli, CEO of Einride.  “This funding allows us to grow with our customer base and accelerate the deployment of our autonomous freight technology. It’s a strong signal of confidence in both our team and our unique position in the market.”

Strong growth and cross-border operation

The funding announcement comes after a strong year for the company. In 2024, their net sales more than doubled, and they expanded into Austria and the UAE.

The Swedish firm is also growing its presence with global shippers in Europe and North America.

Last month, the company also announced the completion of a cross-border operation involving a cableless electric autonomous vehicle with no human driver onboard.

The operation took place at the Ørje border crossing between Norway and Sweden.

The vehicle crossed the border without a driver, marking the world’s first instance of a cabless electric autonomous vehicle operating across national borders.
