MeetFrank, the Estonian talent recruitment app has wrapped up new financing round to help global talent relocate and find new, fulfilling opportunities abroad with its new “relocation without location” feature.
Founded by Anton Narusberg and Kaarel Holm, the secret career app startup has closed €1.5M funding round led by investors Karma.vc, Enern VC, Change Ventures, and Hummingbird.
The story behind MeetFrank!
MeetFrank CEO Kaarel Holm started the company because he was laid off for looking for a new job and felt that he was treated unfairly. So he created a discrete recruitment app, MeetFrank, for passive job seekers to look elsewhere without risking their current employment.
How does MeetFrank work?
For the uninitiated, MeetFrank was launched in September 2017 in efforts to bring more transparency to the job market. Interestingly, this app tells you who wants to hire you and how much they are willing to pay without revealing your identity to the employer.
On the other hand, the companies that are hiring are not anonymous at the platform. In fact, the company writes out an advertisement in detail, and the app makes sure that the eligible candidate only sees it. More than 2000 companies are using the app at present to try to attract talent.
Capitalising on AI, the app uses a machine learning and chatbot combo to match applicants with jobs based on contextual data such as salary expectations, experience, and skill set.
Notably, the Tallinn-based company has now included a feature that expands its offering to go beyond local talent pools and help talent find great opportunities abroad and outside of their local ecosystem as well.
