After nine years at the helm, Peter van Sabben, the co-founder and CEO of Growth Tribe, has announced his decision to step down from his role.
He will be handing over the reins to his co-founder, David Arnoux.
“Never easy to step back as a founder, but it is the right one and the right time for both the company and me,” says Sabben.
Growth Tribe is an Amsterdam-based digital learning partner for individuals & organisations, specialising in data science, growth, innovation, and customer experience.
The platform empowers individuals, teams, and organisations to acquire the most in-demand digital capabilities through actionable, hands-on, and enjoyable courses & learning programmes.
Although van Sabben will no longer serve as CEO, he will remain actively involved with the company as a shareholder and advisor.
What’s next?
Moving forward, van Sabben shared his plans to explore the rapidly growing field of AI-powered learning.
As a builder and product innovator, he intends to focus on projects that combine technology with a human touch, an approach he describes as his passion.
“Now it’s time to dive into the world of AI-powered learning. A new space where we can finally add the human touch that was previously missing in technology,” he says.
He outlined several areas of focus, including always-on feedback, hyper-personalized content, simulation learning, AI-enabled knowledge graphs, automated assessments, AI learning agents, and AI homeschooling.
Additionally, van Sabben plans to reconnect with his professional network through virtual coffees and is open to new collaborations.
” I’m planning at least 50 virtual coffees to open new doors. If you’re curious about AI, or think we could collaborate,” he states.
Besides his work in AI, van Sabben is also considering interim or freelance roles to help founders and scaleups with product marketing, commercial strategies, and growth challenges.
He is keen to support leaders in the learning and development space as they build cultures of continuous learning and motivation.
” I am grateful to be part of this amazing journey. Growth Tribe is in good hands. Excited to see where it goes next. And finally, to the 35,000 of you who’ve joined our courses—thank you for letting us be a part of your learning journey. Remember, Always Be Learning, Always Be Teaching,” concludes Van Sabban.
