After the Deloitte Fast 50 in the Netherlands, where Dutch niche dating startup The Inner Circle bagged the top prize followed by Temper, recently the news is in about the winning startups from Belgium.
As per the reports, the Leuven-based cybersecurity startup GuardSquare won the main prize at the hottest technology awards in Belgium at the Deloitte Fast 50 Business Forum and Awards Ceremony.
Founded in 2014 by Heidi Rakels and Eric Lafortune, the startup has recorded a massive 4713,63% growth in terms of sales. This achievement has not only yielded its Deloitte Fast 50 award but also has made the company one of the fastest growing startups in the software category.
Regarding the award, Heidi Rakels, the co-founder and CEO of GuardSquare said, “We are surprised, but happy to have received this award. Growth was never our purpose as such; we work on a complex technology and our main focus is quality. Partly due to our background in open source software, we were present worldwide from day one. It is therefore very nice to see that focusing on quality is a good strategy to grow quickly.”
At its point in time, Silicon Canals has come up with a few facts about the Belgium-based fintech startup.
