Just Eat France and The Casino Group have signed a partnership to deliver groceries to consumers within 30 minutes in Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Toulouse, Nice, and Bordeaux. The company has promised to cover the entire metropolitan area in the coming months.
Why this partnership?
“This partnership is fully in line with its strategy aimed at developing the growing food e-commerce segment and offering more local services to its customers,” says The Casino Group.
Just Eat has made its debut in the grocery business in the French market through its French subsidiary, which is a natural extension of Just Eat’s food delivery business.
“The urban positioning and the diversity of the Casino Group brands were determining factors in the development of this partnership,” says Just Eat France.
What’s the deal?
The partnership covers all of the Casino Group’s brands, including Franprix, Monoprix, Vival, Le Petit Casino, La Nouvelle Cave, etc.
Effective March 31, customers will be able to choose more than 400 products, including savoury and sweet groceries, fruit & vegetables, fresh products, and more, on the Just Eat website and app.
Just Eat says that the catalogue will be updated with several thousand products by the end of 2022.
The service is available in around ten Franprix stores in Paris and will be expanded to several hundred stores by the end of the year.
In larger cities, Just Eat France will take off courier deliveries. However in smaller cities, deliveries will be done by Stuart (a subsidiary of DPD Group), a renowned partner of Just Eat in France.
