In the modern era, almost everything process one can think of is being automated. Be it your home, bits and pieces of work processes or even entire industries like shipping and aviation. However, the retail sector is still struggling with the same old manual process that includes juggling between spreadsheets, emails and chats, which are inefficient in most cases. This inefficient manual process can lead to reduced profits and growth loss.
With an aim of helping retailers make the most of tech currently available, the France-based retail tech startup SimpliField developed a mobile-first retail-performance platform. The service intends to simply delivering notable customer experiences for leading brands, retailers and wholesalers. It is also enabling leading brands to replace the outdated processes of using spreadsheets and paper forms with a smart mobile solution. SimpliField has now announced that it has secured €9.88M in Series A funding.
Fresh funds and a new headquarters
SimpliField announced its latest €10M Series A funding at the 2020 NRF Conference. The latest round of funding was led by a U.S. based growth equity investor, Five Elms Capital. The startup will be pouring fresh funds to ‘significantly’ increase hiring in sales, marketing and product development department. It will also further develop and build on its comprehensive suite of advanced performance and analytics solutions.
Additionally, the startup is focussed on expanding its services in the U.S. It has announced a new NYC headquarters at 116 Elizabeth Street, on the border of Manhattan’s Nolita and Soho neighborhoods, which is slated to be operational by early February.

How SimpliField is simplifying retail
SimpliField was founded by the CEO Benjamin Zenou, CTO Georges Plancke and Jonathan Attal (COO). The company soon made its mark in the world of retail and it now has over 120 clients in over 30 countries. Some of the brands using its services including retailers like L’Oreal, Estée Lauder, Samsung, LVMH, and Sony. The company’s mobile-first platform service offers real-time collaboration between store teams, field teams and leadership at HQ. All this is done neatly with a powerful analytical tool set, including customisable dashboards.
