Companies might find it tough to get flexible staff who can handle all the involved tasks efficiently. For this reason, there are many staffing platforms that operate across the world. Coople based in Zurich is one of the largest just-in-time staffing platforms in the world.

Founded in 2009 by Viktor Calabrò, Coople operates with the algorithm to match the necessity of employees with the demand of companies. Within a few hours, the company fills the requirements. This is possible with its comprehensive automation of processes.

Bags €29M funding

Coople has just announced that it has bagged additional funding of $32 million (nearly €29 million) from a slew of investors led by One Peak Partners and Growth Equity Business within Goldman Sachs Merchant Banking Division. This takes the overall funding raised by Coople to $76 million (nearly €68 million). This makes Coople one of the best-funded companies in the flexible job market.

The Zurich-based company will use the funding to automate its online platform, expand its presence in the existing markets, and launch its staffing platform in the Netherlands and another international market.

Disruptive business model

Coople has introduced a disruptive business model in three countries and revolutionised the conventional recruitment industry. Its platform uses an algorithm to match the flexible workforce with demand from employees. To do so, the algorithm considers the employee’s availability, location, ratings, and experience and matches these aspects with the hiring company’s requirements.

End-to-end automation

The staffing platform Coople provides end-to-end automation of the HR process including planning, recruiting, hiring, workforce management, payments, and payroll. This lets companies significantly minimises the time and cost involved with HR administration. Furthermore, the company also looks forward to extending its world-leading flexible staff planning software to let clients upload and manage their flexible staff.

Aims to expand and innovate in 2020

Now, Coople has over 400,000 registered flexible employees called Cooplers. Also, it has over 20,000 registered companies on its platform. It is a market leader in Switzerland and continues to show triple-digit year-on-year growth rates in the UK since it launched there in 2016. It plans to growth in the UK and its home market Switzerland. A number of large blue-chip companies in these countries rely on Coople to source on-demand staffing.
