OnePlus‘ ‘Never Settle’ philosophy has always been about disrupting the market. Back in 2015, OnePlus made its debut in the European market with OnePlus One.
Fast-forwarding to 2019, the Chinese handset maker has grown into one of the best-selling premium smartphone manufacturers in western Europe and beyond. Eventually, the company increased both the quality and feature set with each successive smartphones in the past five years.
And that’s what the recently launched OnePlus 7T series is all about – reaching beyond limits. At an event in London, OnePlus launched OnePlus 7T, OnePlus 7T Pro, and OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition. In addition to that, the smartphone maker also introduced the Olive green variant of the OnePlus Bullet Wireless headphones.
OnePlus 7T: It’s all about FLUID AMOLED display and triple cameras!
The OnePlus 7T comes equipped with many features that were previously exclusive to the Pro. One of the USP of the device is its 6.55-inch FHD+ Fluid AMOLED 90Hz display! If you are new to 90Hz, the screen refreshes 90 times every second making every movement, scroll, swipe more responsive and faster compared to other phones which come with 60Hz.
Notably, this is the first OnePlus phone to sport a 20:9 aspect ratio display as well. It also has a certification by world-renowned TÃœV Rheinland for superior blue light reduction and viewing safety. The 7T has a multi-layered matte glass design creating a sense of depth for an ultra-premium look and feel.
Moving on to the other specifications, 7T is powered by Octa-Core Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset with Adreno 640 GPU taking care of your gaming needs. It is available in one variant in terms of storage – 8GB RAM and 128GB inbuilt storage.
Yet another interesting aspect of the device is its triple camera setup stacked horizontally, which kind of reminds old Nokia 1020 and 1520 phones. In terms of numbers:
Primary camera – 48MP with f/1.6 aperture, Sony IMX586 sensor, OIS, EIS, 4K 60fps
Secondary camera – 16MP 117° FOV with f/2.2 aperture,
Third camera – 12MP telephoto lens with f/2.2 aperture for 2x optical zoom
The front side is taken care of 16MP with a Sony IMX471 sensor, f/2.0 aperture.
The entire above hardware is backed by a 3800mAh battery with Warp Charge 30T fast charging technology. As per the company claims, 70% of the battery will be charged in just 30 mins. The OnePlus 7T will be available in Glacier Blue and Frosted Silver colours at €599.

Talking about the specs, the 7T Pro features a 6.67-inch QHD+ Fluid AMOLED display without a notch and supports the 90Hz refresh rate as well. In terms of chipset, it features the same Octa-Core Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset with Adreno 640 GPU under the hood.
The camera setup is the same as the OnePlus 7T but arranged vertically. In terms of storage, the 7T Pro comes with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 256GB (UFS 3.0) storage. In the latest Pro version, the company has bumped up the battery to 4085mAh with Warp Charge 30T support. The high-end sibling will come Haze Blue at €759.
OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition – its all about design!
Racing powerhouse McLaren has teamed up with OnePlus once again to create a superfast smartphone with a carbon fiber rear. It is the same as 7T Pro in terms of size, shape, weight, camera, and other specifications. Having said that, the McLaren Edition boasts 12GB RAM instead of 8GB RAM.
This limited edition device comes with Papaya Orange finish that races around the bottom edge of the device before fading into the black. It has a unique subtle pattern around the camera module, which was used in McLaren cars. To make it even more luxurious, users will also get an exclusive Alcantara case with a honeycomb design. The McLaren Edition of OnePlus 7T will be available in €859.
The OnePlus 7T series of the device will go on sale in Europe starting from October 17th. The company is also organising the pop-up event in selected cities
