California-based OpenAI announced on Monday, August 28, that it has launched a new version of their AI chatbot – ChatGPT Enterprise.

The business edition is designed for companies that need both enhanced privacy and security as well as increased functionality and bandwidth.

ChatGPT Enterprise edition comes with various enhancements, including:

  • Enterprise-grade security and privacy
  • Unlimited higher-speed GPT-4 access
  • Longer context windows for processing longer inputs
  • Advanced data analysis capabilities
  • Customisation options

OpenAI claims that the latest version of ChatGPT resolves privacy concerns, enabling more companies to adopt the chatbot. ChatGPT Enterprise’s early users include Block, Canva, Carlyle, The Estée Lauder Companies, PwC, and Zapier.

“We believe AI can assist and elevate every aspect of our working lives and make teams more creative and productive. Today marks another step towards an AI assistant for work that helps with any task, is customised for your organisation, and protects your company data,” says OpenAI.

ChatGPT Enterprise: Complete ownership of data

The AI company has confirmed that ChatGPT Enterprise users will have complete control and ownership of their data, which will not be used to train GPT.

“You own and control your business data in ChatGPT Enterprise. We do not train on your business data or conversations, and our models don’t learn from your usage,” says OpenAI in its blog.

ChatGPT Enterprise is also SOC 2 compliant and all conversations are encrypted in transit and at rest.

ChatGPT Enterprise will remove all usage caps, and perform up to two times faster.

The company says that it includes 32k context in Enterprise, allowing users to process four times longer inputs or files.  ChatGPT Enterprise will also have unlimited access to advanced data analysis, previously known as Code Interpreter.

This feature enables both technical and non-technical teams to analyse information in seconds, whether it’s for financial researchers crunching market data, marketers analysing survey results, or data scientists debugging an ETL script.

For those who want to customise ChatGPT for their respective organisations, the newly introduced shared chat templates provide a collaborative platform for constructing familiar workflows.
