The round brings on board three well-known names in the sector:

  • Dimitri van Zantvliet, Cybersecurity Director at Dutch Railways
  • Rogier Fischer, founder and CEO of Hadrian
  • Pieter Jansen, founder and former CEO of Cybersprint and now partner at cybersecurity investor Ctrl+Alt+Invest.

Dimitri van Zantvliet says, “Infostealers are one of the biggest blind spots in cybersecurity right now. Passguard tackles this problem in an ethical and accessible way. It is Made in Holland, exactly the kind of independent European solutions that many organisations are looking for.”

Back in May, Passguard joined hands with Hadrian to secure businesses against the new wave of cyber attacks.

Rogier Fischer from Hadrian says, “Working with Passguard has allowed me to get to know the product and team in depth. I have seen that their solution really makes a difference for many companies in the Netherlands and Europe.”

Passguard: Stealer intelligence platform

Cybercriminals are constantly searching for new entry points to exploit and fresh techniques to bypass a business’s defences. When traditional vulnerabilities are well-protected, attackers shift tactics.

Led by Tom Leijte, Passguard is a Dutch stealer intelligence platform focused on detecting and responding to infections from infostealers.

Pieter Jansen followed the founding team closely during a coaching program at startup incubator YES! Delft says, “The founders of Passguard combine deep technical expertise with a true entrepreneurial mindset. That makes them a team that can make a difference in cybersecurity.”

The company’s platform infiltrates criminal marketplaces and gives organisations direct insight into infected devices and compromised sessions by infostealers via a platform and API.

As a result, the company enables organisations to cover a crucial threat that they would otherwise miss.

Passguard’s customers include Damen Shipyards, Royal FloraHolland, AFAS Software and Hadrian.

Tom Leijte, CEO of Passguard, concludes, “With Dimitri, Rogier and Pieter, we are bringing a wealth of experience in cybersecurity on board. Their knowledge of the market and experience in scaling up cybersecurity companies will help us further. With this funding, we are investing in making our data scalable and accessible via our API, so that security integrators can use it directly with their customers.”
