Amsterdam-based Patchmanager, a provider of infrastructure management software solutions, announced on Tuesday that it has secured a majority investment from strategic software investor Main Capital Partners.
The funding amount has not been disclosed.
According to a statement, the partnership with Main Capital is important for Patchmanager’s long-term growth plan as the company looks to expand its market share in infrastructure management software.
Ivo van Deudekom, Investment Director at Main, says, “Patchmanager has been able to obtain a unique position in the DCIM market worldwide with numerous blue-chip customers who trust the company to manage their complex and critical IT infrastructure.”
“Due to their strong product offerings and partner network, the company is able to significantly outperform the market growth rates of approximately 15 per cent.”
“We are confident that Patchmanager is able to continue growing at this pace in the upcoming years and we are excited to be part of their journey,” adds van Deudekom.
Cable and asset management software solution
Founded in 2002, Patchmanager is a software company that provides infrastructure management software that allows clients to plan, record, monitor, and maintain physical layer connectivity and assets.
According to the company, its solutions are crucial in managing the increasingly complex IT infrastructures of clients.
Customers can manage and monitor their key infrastructure, including (fibre) cables, data centre racks, floor plans, and other assets, using Patchmanager’s smart and detailed visualisation tools.
Given the nature of the solution, which is applicable in almost every business, key use cases include data centres, offices, buildings, or outside plant networks.
Examples of industry sectors where Patchmanager excels are financial institutions, colleges and universities, airports, (semi-)government, and Industrials.
Over the past 20 years, the company claims to have created scalable software that is utilised by over 300 clients worldwide, with strong markets in Europe, the UK, and the US. Its customers include both small and large businesses, such as Vodafone, Schiphol, NASA, and Inmarsat.
Currently, the company has over 20 employees.
Capital utilisation
Patchmanager says it aims to implement an international roll-out plan that includes organisational expansion as well as expanded sales and marketing activities through both direct sales and their partner channel.
Also, according to the company, ongoing product innovation remains a critical component of this plan.
Michael Kentrop, CEO of Patchmanager, says, “At Patchmanager, product excellence and customer service are at the heart of what we do and how we do it. We are driven by providing our customers with a high-quality solution that adds substantial value to their organisations.”
“In Main, we find a like-minded partner and strong ally to help extend our reach and achieve our full potential. Main’s knowledge and expertise in the software sector is second-to-none, and we look forward to a successful cooperation!” adds Kentrop.
