Razor Group, a Berlin-based company that buys promising Amazon sellers and scales them into bigger businesses, has closed a $125M (€108M) funding in a Series B round at a valuation of over $1B.
The latest funding round was all-equity and raised from a mix of existing and new investors, including Fortress Investment Group, 468 Capital, Victory Park Capital, Presight Capital, Blackrock, Jebsen Capital, Redalpine, and GFC.
The announcement comes just five months after raising $400M (approx €331.6M) from Victory Park Capital, BlackRock, and its existing shareholders.
CEO and co-founder Tushar Ahluwalia says, “Our pitch is not that we are an FBA acquirer, but that we work in three phases: acquire, operationalise and then transform. Technology helps us to be very good in each of those.” He added that 12% of Razor’s revenues are already “non-Amazon” and the plan is to move this number up to over 20% in the next three quarters.
The funding will enable Razor Group to accelerate the acquisition of top-ranked Amazon FBA businesses and expand into other marketplaces across Europe, the US, and global growth markets.
