Last update:

Amsterdam-based Redistri, a trucking platform that offers its customers access to its Combined Truck Load (CTL) network, announced that it has raised €425K in a Seed round of funding from Shamrock Ventures and several angel investors.

Tommy Hurley, managing partner of Shamrock Ventures, says, “Redistri’s RoadOS provides substantial commercial benefits to its clients and at the same time decreases the environmental impact of the involved trucks. We look forward to helping Redistri’s team with operational and technical advice.”

“Moving road logistics forward with combined truck load”

Founded in 2020 by Abhilash Aryal and Jelle Mieldijk, Redistri is a Dutch national trucking platform that offers customers access to a Combined Truck Load (CTL) network by using in-house developed technology, RoadOS.

RoadOS is an AI-driven system that matches the right cargo together and then maps out optimal routes for the trucks in their network. This allows them to deliver more goods, increase revenue, lower costs, and decrease the environmental impact. The company also says it does not own any of the trucks or employs any drivers. The physical operations are done in cooperation with local partners.

In a mostly analogue sector, RoadOS digitises the bulk of procedures in transportation planning and management. The company’s founders want to create Europe’s first entirely data-driven autonomous road transport carrier.

Capital utilisation

Redistri says that the funds will help the company expand its operations in the Benelux region and to expand its services to Germany. The funds will also be used to expand the capabilities of RoadOS and grow the teams in both Nepal and The Netherlands.
