Based out of Paris, Shippeo, the market leader in supply chain visibility, is expanding operations with the opening of a new office in the center of Stockholm. With this move, the French company is planning to solidify its presence in the Nordics.
Jonatan Rajala as Strategic Account Executive!
As a part of the expansion, Shippeo has appointed Jonatan Rajala as Strategic Account Executive in the Northern Europe team. Jonatan has more than ten years of experience as an entrepreneur and will help the company in accelerating the commercial growth in the region.
Jonatan Rajala said:
Supply Chain Visibility is hot in Scandinavia, and Shippeo is the market leader in that area. I see many opportunities for success!
Lucien Besse, COO, and co-founder of Shippeo said:
The opening of our Swedish office is a strategic expansion for Shippeo. The freight and logistics market in the Nordics is fragmented in nature, with many major global brands leveraging its centrally situated location. It makes the need for Predictive Transportation Visibility the more evident and hence important geography for Shippeo as the leading supplier in Europe.
Real-time transport visibility platform
If you are unaware, Shippeo offers shippers, carriers, and end customers continuous monitoring and maximum accuracy of expected arrival times for each delivery, allowing them to identify problems and anticipate on time quickly.
Shippeo was founded in 2014 and followed more than 5 million loads per year for leading customers such as Carrefour, Faurecia, Auchan, and Leroy Merlin. Shippeo works with carriers in more than 40 countries. The founders are Brice Hua, David Barre, Jean-Bastien Dussart, Lucien Besse, Pierre Khoury, and Thibaut Morlot.
Why Sweden?
As per the company, Sweden, along with other Scandinavian countries, are among the largest logistics markets in the world. Due to the many transport movements, the relatively long distances, and the often international transport, the demand for predictive Expected Time of Arrival (ETA) technology is explicitly present.
Dennis van Bodegom, Director of Northern Europe at Shippeo:
We see attracting Jonatan and opening our new Swedish office as a strategic step in our further growth. From central Stockholm, we can reach Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and serve Finland perfectly. Scandinavian companies have been at the forefront for years when it comes to applications of new technology and shows interest in exploiting the benefits of Supply Chain Visibility.
