Spanish proptech startup Badi bags $30M to help you find a compatible roommate

The Spanish proptech startup Badi has secured $30 million funding in a round led by the Silicon Valley-based GoodWater Capital with participation from Spark Capital, Target Global and Mangrove Capital. Post the funding; the startup raised an overall capital about $45 million. Notably, Tao Tao, co-founder and COO of GetYourGuide has joined the advisory board of Badi.

The startup Badi through its digital platform lets students and young folks to get the right place of accommodation or helps to find the compatible roommate or flatmate.  The AI (artificial intelligence) enabled application offers the best personalised match for rooms and roommates saving time and a lot of money charged by real-estate agents.

More than 1 million users

Headquartered in Barcelona, Badi was founded in 2015 by Carlos Pierre Trias de Bes. Within three years of its instigation, the platform exceeds 1 million users. The startup showcases more than 120,000 rooms from 14 European cities including Amsterdam, London, Paris, Rome, and Madrid on its platform. Now after the present funding, the startup will expand its services in other cities in the continent.
