Stockholm-based Neko Health, a health tech company, announced that it has exited stealth after four years of research and product development.

Daniel Ek, founder and CEO of Spotify, and Hjalmar Nilsonne have co-founded Neko health. This marks Ekโ€™s foray into the  healthcare industry.

“The company was founded by Hjalmar Nilsonne and Daniel Ek with the vision to create a healthcare system that can help people stay healthy through preventive measures and early detection,โ€ shares Neko Health in a LinkedIn post.

Neko says it has developed a new scanning technique for the extensive, non-invasive collection of health data, including detecting and measuring the growth of birthmarks, rashes, and age spots.

The Swedish company claims that the technique is scalable and accessible for wider patient groups to provide more opportunities to be proactive around their health.

“Starting today, people who have skin and heart concerns can experience the Neko Body Scan and get an extensive examination of their health in our first health center on Regeringsgatan 61 in central Stockholm,” the post reads.

Neko Health says the 360-degree full body scanner uses more than 70 sensors to collect 50 million data points about skin, heart, hair, respiration, microcirculation, and 15 GB of health data in minutes.

The data points will be analysed by an AI-driven system, and the result is visualised for both readers and patients, says the company.

Currently, the full-body scan is available only to the public in Sweden at 2,000 SEK (โ‚ฌ175).
