Rotterdam-based marketing technology company, Spotler Group, announced that it has acquired another Dutch company Squeezely, a CDP (Customer Data Platform) software company that is used for business needs and marketing. With over 100 e-commerce clients, Squeezely claims to have built complete buyer journeys across multiple channels.
The buyer’s journey is based on the fact that today’s consumers are online and more informed than ever, which helps them to make an educated decision on their purchase before they ever contact you.
Personalised marketing for all channels
Founded in 2016 by Tim Hoefnagel, Squeezely offers clients the ability to take control of the collecting of behavioural data, storing, and tagging it in one logical interface, then visually building customer journeys.
The platform is used to visually build customer journeys with ready-made templates for, among other things, abandoned website and shopping cart campaigns. The simple drag-and-drop journey builder offers the ability to build custom customer journeys as well, leveraging all collected behavioural data.
The company says, “Our aim has always been to help companies in every type of industry with our solution. Therefore, we set out to design a platform that would eliminate high costs, time-consuming implementation programs, and confusing user interfaces. Squeezely is implemented through one of our many plugins and can be expanded to anyone’s liking with our flexible development tools.”
The Squeezely CDP software revolves around building user profiles. For all people that visit your websites or store locations, a unique Squeezely Profile is created in case they leave data behind. These profiles contain data ranging from behavioural data on your website, purchases made in one of your stores (both online and offline), scores from your data science department, or important CRM characteristics. Squeezely CDP connects businesses to all marketing channels like web, email, Facebook, Google, to name but a few, as well as push notifications to enrich a visitors experience.
Tim Hoefnagel, Founder of Squeezely, says, “The Spotler Group offers us a fantastic framework to continue to the next level of the Squeezely Journey. We have big plans in our roadmap, which can be accelerated now we are part of a bigger group. We are especially excited about working with the Spotler Group AI team to further our ambitions for our clients.”
Brief about Spotler
Spotler claims to provide marketers the right marketing and transactional software, including services to grow their business. It offers online email marketing and marketing automation software and associated knowledge and services. The company was founded in June 2017. However, it has been active since 2004 (then under the name of Blinker and MailPlus).
Spotler Group claims to have over 2500 clients in 8 European countries, transmitting over 9 billion messages every year.
The next step
Despite the fact that Spotler and Squeezely operate together under the same Group, both companies will continue to work together as partners. Over three years ago, Squeezely had selected Spotler’s email marketing automation solution for e-commerce as one of its first technology integration partners. Since then, both have together delivered multiple solutions for various e-commerce and travel organisations in order to provide customer benefits for these organisations.
The Spotler Group’s synergy continues with the recent partnership between Squeezely and Tripolis, an Amsterdam-based email and martech company. Integrating the Tripolis Webpower product to Squeezely in the same way Spotler’s and other (Dutch) ESP integrations work, offers the same benefits of hyper-personalised communications automatically triggered by the unique stage in a customers’ journey.
Speaking on the development, Lee Chadwick, Spotler Group CEO, says, “While continuing as a standalone brand and organisation, we have already begun deepening the integration with our email platforms so that Group customers instantly benefit from the acquisition. We strongly believe in offering our customers a choice. As such, Squeezely will continue to integrate to and work with other ESP’s in the marketplace as well, and likewise, our Group ESP’s (Spotler and Tripolis) will still offer integrations with other CDP’s as well.”
