Opens third office in the UK
In a recent move, Starling Bank announced that it has opened its third office in the UK. It is a new 14,000 sq. ft. office in Brunel House, Cardiff creating 400 job opportunities with more jobs to follow later this year. At this new office, the digital bank will grow its data science, customer service, and fraud teams.
Regarding choice of location of the new office, Anne Boden, CEO and founder of Starling Bank said, “Cardiff is also a bright, dynamic and entrepreneurial city with a supportive ecosystem which we are looking to tap into as we continue to grow our business and personal accounts. We believe that London’s success as a fintech hub should enable it to spread wealth and jobs throughout the UK and the wider economy. That’s exactly what we’re doing with this office in Cardiff.”
Growth factors in 2020
Starling Bank appears to have made a strong start in 2020 as it raised €71 million from Merian Global Investors and JTC last month. Also, it confirmed that it will give shares to employees and let everyone take part in its success.
