Stockholm and New York-based Supernormal, a generative AI-powered note-taking platform, announced on Thursday that it has raised $10M (approximately €9.1M) in a Seed round of funding led by Balderton Capital.

EQT Ventures, Acequia Capital, and byFounders also participated in the round.

So far, the company has raised $12M (approximately €10.9M) from investors such as Balderton, EQT Ventures, Acequia Capital, and angels Jehad Affoneh, Nir Eyal, and Mick Johnson.

Supernormal says it will use the funds to develop its end-to-end workflow solutions and next-generation tools that deliver insights and actionable outcomes from conversations across organisations.

Colin Treseler, co-founder and CEO of Supernormal, says, “We’re delighted by the reception so far to Supernormal and look forward to working closely with Balderton and our other investors to deliver next-generation solutions on such a pivotal source of information.”

Supernormal: What you need to know

Founded by Fabian Perez and Colin Treseler in 2022, Supernormal is a generative AI-powered note-taking platform that automatically transcribes and writes meeting notes.

Built on top of OpenAI’s GPT-3 and internal AI models, the platform aims to eliminate the struggle of taking notes and analysing them afterward for actions.

The company says its platform can generate detailed meeting notes based on the type of call, including customer objectives, goals, key decisions, and action items, within two seconds. It can be integrated with Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom,

Post-meeting, the platform continues to deliver productivity gains by automating routine action items like follow-up emails, scheduling, and making introductions.

The Supernormal platform focuses on distributed and hybrid teams, and works with various businesses such as Netflix, Salesforce, Github, Wayfair, and The Next Web.

The Swedish company is a remote-first company with dual HQs in Stockholm and New York.

Fabian Perez, co-founder of Supernormal, says, “Supernormal gives people the tools to document their meetings and share them with colleagues instantly. It’s been an incredible few months since we came out of beta, and we’re excited to keep building Supernormal to give more people superpowers at work.”
