TheNextWomen offers female founders a ticket to (even more) success

For the fifth year in a row, TheNextWomen offers ambitious startups the stage of TheNextWomen Summit to pitch their company to an expert jury of investors, press, advisors, and other professionals. The best “female founded” startup wins, among other things, a convertible loan of at least €20.000 from TheNextWomen Crowd Fund, access to TheNextWomen Academy and mentoring from TheNextWomen100. 

Every entrepreneur’s dreams

After March 31 30 female entrepreneurs will be selected out of all the applications for the second round. Eventually, 15 startups will be selected for the semi-finals. After guidance and workshops from successful women from TheNextWomen network, 5 finalists will be chosen. On June 12^th, 2017 they will pitch their startup on the mainstage of TheNextWomen Summit, in front of an investors jury, a 1.000 person audience of entrepreneurs, the press, and speakers such as Prince Constantijn van Oranje. The five finalists all receive a convertible loan of €10.000 and can also win the Jury Prize and the Audience Prize of an additional €10.000 each.

A startup award of an established order

Simone Brummelhuis, founder of TheNextWomen: “Despite the fact that there are so many startup awards, every year over 150 female startup founders apply for our Pitch Competition. I am proud that they see the value of our network of the most influential female entrepreneurs in the Netherlands that can help them grow. The success stories of earlier edition show this. For example, the last 4 winners closed a €500.000 – €750.000 funding round within 9 months after participation.”

TheNextWomen’s mission

TheNextWomen is on a mission to create an ecosystem of female starters, established role models, experts and investors. The purpose is to advise, inspire and connect worldwide as well as local ambitious, entrepreneurial women online and offline.
