Dublin and Boston-based Tines, a company that offers management secure workflows, has raised an additional $50M (approximately €46.60M) in fresh funding as an extension to its Series B round.

This round brings Tines’ total raised capital to $146.2M (approximately €136.27M).

The latest investment was led by Accel and Felicis, along with existing investors Addition, CrowdStrike Falcon Fund, and SVCI.

Luca Bocchio, partner at Accel, says, “When we led Tines’ Series A in 2019, Eoin and Thomas had spent more than a decade as security operators, experiencing the inefficiencies and tedious manual tasks faced by teams everywhere firsthand.”

“The Tines team is now going after the broader opportunity of powering the most important and mission-critical workflows for global businesses. We believe Tines represents the future for workflow automation in security and beyond and we look forward to the journey ahead.”

Smart and secure workflows for your team

According to Tines, organisations often face the dilemma of too much work but are short on staff, risking burnout and errors. Tines provides a workflow platform empowering every team member with robust automation and orchestration capabilities.

The company is based in Dublin and Boston and was founded in 2018 by Eoin Hinchy and Thomas Kinsella.

Co-founder Hinchy, says, “Industry leaders at companies including Canva, Intercom, and McKesson trust Tines with mission-critical workflows for incident response, employee lifecycle management, and much more. We’re most excited about the impact the funding will have on these, and all of our customers, from startups to Fortune 10 companies.”

Hinchy reports that Tines assists over 33,000 users in automating tens of thousands of diverse workflows. With over 40 million daily automated actions, including those by users of its free Community Edition, the platform continues to expand its impact.

“The results are extremely powerful – less risk, happier, more engaged teams, and more time to focus on the work that matters,” adds Hinchy.

Recently, Tines launched its Channel Partner Programme, doubling its partner ecosystem in 2023. The company also expanded its platform’s focus to involve teams across organisations and rolled out AI-powered features as part of its product innovations.

Funds to help enhance workflow automation capabilities

In fiscal year 2024, Tines reports that its Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) more than doubled, growing by over 100 per cent, and its employee headcount increased by 30 per cent.

With this new funding, Tines plans to further develop its platform, catering to customers from startups to Fortune 10 companies.

The company will also focus on expanding collaborative workflow features and integrating AI improvements to make automation easier for users.

Co-founder Hinchy, says, “Tines’ mission is to power the most important workflows for companies worldwide. These funds allow us to double down on areas we’ve seen much success, maintain our leadership position in security, and continue our strategy to automate complex technical workflows for multiple departments across the enterprise.”

Tines’ immediate focus is on meeting the needs of large-scale operations in global enterprises, federal government agencies, and the public sector.

Additionally, the company is also expanding its team in all departments, from engineering to sales and marketing. Apply here.
